Graham Jeal (Deputy Chair Political) writes:
'The results are now in from across Lincolnshire and they are remarkable. Marc Jones has been re-elected as the Police and Crime Commissioner, the Conservative Group won 54 out of 70 seats keeping a solid working majority on Lincolnshire County Council and Penny Robins won a seat on South Kesteven District Council representing Glen Ward.
We have seen increased levels of support for the Conservative Party across the region in recognition of the work of local Conservatives getting on with the job of delivering local services. There were a small number of candidates, who in spite of their hard work and your ongoing support - did not get elected. We will be looking carefully at these areas to understand how we can improve our campaigning in these areas. We remain grateful to all candidates who stood for election.
Your help and support has made a real difference at this election - thanks for supporting the Grantham and Stamford Conservative Association and thanks to all of our great candidates.
The hard work for those that got elected or re-elected starts now.'
