Owen Pugh is our candidate for Stamford West. He writes:
'The Conservative Administration in Lincolnshire has been working hard for the last 4 years, and especially during these last 12 months, to help support businesses, creating and retaining jobs where possible while protecting our fantastic heritage. £12m of new grants have been provided giving support to small businesses that had previously missed out. This is on top of the aid that has helped more than 2500 businesses across the county.
In spite of budgetary pressures, we benefit from one of the lowest council tax rates in the country and continue to deliver services repeatedly rated really good by independent assessors. The sympathetic repair work recently announced for Red Lion Square is just the start of my pledge to deliver for Stamford and I plan to work closely with cabinet colleagues at LCC to see more road repairs delivered to keep us moving. My commitment to a greener future that embraces green transport options will build on this programme of action and help us embrace new tourism and business opportunities which will deliver for all.
