Our candidate to contest Aveland Ward on 24th February for SKDC is RICHARD DIXON-WARREN.
Richard lives in the Ward and after some years as a Parish Council Chairman is hoping to join South Kesteven District Council.
Richard writes: "I retired with my family to Haconby in this beautiful corner of Lincolnshire, where we feel very much at home, after a forty year career in the Army, working on everything from logistics to crisis management. Now, as an amateur writer and local historian, I take a keen interest in village and rural matters. I am Chairman of the Haconby and Stainfield Parish Council and this has given me a good understanding of current issues, including littering, planning and rural crime. I am also involved in a range of voluntary and charity activities. I am now keen to bring my enthusiasm and experience to the role of local councillor. If elected, I will be a voice for our residents, community groups and our parish councils and will make your voice heard in the council chamber. My first priority will be to get to know what you, the people, communities and businesses in Aveland want and need. My second priority will be to work to enable those wants and needs to be met within the limits of the District Council’s powers and within a Conservative framework of advancing opportunity, nurturing responsibility and protecting security."
