The Butterfield Centre, a registered charity in Bourne providing day care, dementia care and home help for the elderly, is now equipped with newly restored day care facilities. Extensive damp proof foundation works have been undertaken by LCC and the facility has received a long-awaited uplift. Cllr Robert Reid (Bourne South and Thurlby) said: ‘It’s been my pleasure to support these works. There are two front rooms for the Butterfield Charity Supporters Luncheon Club that await the return once Covid 19 permits, and I’ve been in discussion about local chef volunteers themed lunches. This is a great place to hold a community meeting or gathering in the dining room which can accommodate up to 60, a hidden secret with a kitchen that not many people know about!’
