Our retiring President, Mrs Joan Hayes, was presented with the Bill Todd Memorial Cup at the Annual General Meeting by the Chairman, Martin Trollope-Bellew, in recognition of her long and fine service to the Association. Gareth Davies MP was pleased to present her with a letter from the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, which thanked her for her valued contribution to the Party going back some seventy years.
The AGM was held at the Corn Exchange in Bourne and was well attended by around 50 members. Members were addressed by both Gareth Davies MP and Mark Spencer MP, Leader of the House, on the current national challenges and the work of the government in dealing with these.
The Members welcomed their new President, Mrs Julia Reid.
